Sydney Trains adds extra services for Newcastle Knights fans

Sydney Trains is adding extra rail services between Newcastle and Sydney this Sunday to accommodate fans traveling for the Newcastle Knights preliminary final.

Two additional services will depart the Newcastle Interchange at 12:01 pm and 12:56 pm, arriving at Strathfield to facilitate connections to Sydney Olympic Park. Following the match, eight trains per hour will depart Sydney Olympic Park between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, connecting passengers with Central and Strathfield for return trips to the Hunter region. Two extra services will also depart Sydney Terminal at 6:45 pm and 7:17 pm.

Minister for the Hunter Yasmin Catley confirmed the additional transport following the team's recent victory. Public transport travel is included with match tickets.
