Sydney’s Luna Park hosts annual Sukkos celebration
Hundreds of children and families gathered at Sydney’s Luna Park for an annual Sukkos celebration organized by Chabad Youth NSW. Supported by 26 local community organizations, the event combined amusement park attractions with Jewish holiday traditions.
A decorated sukkah was positioned near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, offering views of the Sydney Opera House. Participants engaged in traditional observances, including making blessings over the lulav and esrog and eating kosher food within the sukkah.
Rabbi Elimelech Levy, director of Chabad Youth NSW, noted that the event aimed to foster community connection and provide joyful experiences for children during the festival, which is traditionally known as the ‘Season of Our Rejoicing’.
