Sydney's Universal Power House linked to 2026 death after suspected dog attack
The Universal Power House, an unfinished building in Eschol Park near Campbelltown, New South Wales, also known as Saturn’s Rings, was the site of a fatal incident on 8 August 2026. A 23‑year‑old man was found dead after what police say was a suspected dog attack; five dogs were later removed and euthanised, and a 53‑year‑old man received treatment for a minor hand injury. NSW Police are conducting a thorough investigation.
The property, created by Polish immigrant Stefan Dzwonnik as a “global mecca” for peace, love and truth, has a tragic history. In February 1982, 16‑year‑old Melanie Bazley fell about 40 metres from the top of the unfinished structure and died. Her sister, Caroline Adams, recalled, “My sister Melanie Bazley was killed in an accident there in February 1982, after falling 40 metres from the top level.” The site has long attracted local curiosity, art installations and media attention.
