Sylhet: Three killed in separate road accidents in Jaintiapur

Three people, including a three-month-old infant, were killed in two separate road accidents occurring within minutes of each other in the Jaintiapur area of Sylhet on Saturday.

The first accident involved a collision between a stone-laden truck and a tourist bus traveling toward Jaflong. The impact caused the bus to veer into the mud. Two victims, a 40-year-old bus driver from Rajbari and a 15-year-old girl from Barisal, later died at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Approximately five minutes later, a second accident occurred near the Biraimara Bridge on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway, where two private cars collided head-on. A three-month-old infant named Ayat, from the Goainghat area, died after being taken to the hospital. At least ten people were injured across both incidents, and police have seized the involved vehicles for legal proceedings.
