Sylt land auction: Salt marsh plot near Wadden Sea to be sold

A nearly three-hectare plot of land in the Morsum district of Sylt is set to be auctioned by Deutsche Grundstücksauktionen AG on September 24. The property, located near the Wadden Sea and a golf course, has a minimum bid of 49,000 euros.

Despite its prime location, the land is classified as an agricultural salt marsh within a sensitive natural area. A wide belt of reeds separates the property from the sea, and the site is home to rare plants such as sea samphire. Due to its environmental status, the land is not suitable for the construction of luxury villas.
