SYLT1 launches new radio station SYLT1audio

SYLT1, the broadcaster for the German island of Sylt, has launched a new radio station called SYLT1audio. The service is designed to provide an acoustic connection to the island for residents and enthusiasts who are currently away from Sylt.

The programming includes global news and German weather reports on the hour, with local island news and weather updates on the half-hour. Musical content features a mix of oldies and country music, primarily focusing on hits from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The station also includes segments such as ‘SYLT1 trifft’ and highlights from the ‘SYLTZEIT’ format.

A new interactive feature titled ‘Grüße an die Insel’ (Greetings to the Island) allows listeners to record and send personal voice messages via the SYLT1audio web app.
