Sylvania police arrest driver after vehicle pursuit

A vehicle pursuit in Sylvania, Alabama, ended with the arrest of 21-year-old Kadence L. Pratt of Dutton. The chase began after officers received a lookout notice regarding a reckless driver in a small black car, with suspicions that the driver might be under the influence of narcotics.

During the pursuit, which moved through southwest Sylvania near Alabama Highway 75 and County Road 108, the driver allegedly swerved into oncoming traffic multiple times. A deputy successfully ended the chase by performing a PIT maneuver.

Following the arrest, officers reported finding liquid methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Pratt faces several charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, felony attempt to elude, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
