Sylvester Jasper Nears Transfer to Standard Liège After Zulte Waregem Deal Falters

Twenty‑four‑year‑old winger Sylvester Jasper, who plays for Serbian SuperLiga side FK Železničar Pančevo, is close to joining Belgian club Standard Liège. Jasper, eligible for England, Nigeria and Bulgaria, has attracted interest after scoring an assist early in the Serbian season and featuring in UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Belgian side Zulte Waregem had been in advanced talks with Železničar, but negotiations collapsed, allowing Standard Liège to step in. Jasper has reportedly agreed on personal terms and is willing to move to Liège, while clubs continue to resolve the transfer fee. He is under contract with Železničar until 30 June 2027 and is valued at about €1.8 million.
