Sylvester Stallone defends casting daughter in Tulsa King

Actor and producer Sylvester Stallone has addressed criticisms regarding the casting of his daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, in the Paramount+ series ‘Tulsa King’. In an interview with USA Today, the 80-year-old actor admitted that his influence played a role, describing the situation as “of course it is nepotism.”

Stallone argued that providing advantages to one's children is a fundamental parental responsibility, stating, “You are not a good parent if you have not practiced a little bit of nepotism. Otherwise, obviously, you do not care about your children, because they come first.”

Scarlet Rose Stallone, 24, has appeared in the series since 2022, playing the character Spencer. Her role has expanded significantly in the fourth season, and Paramount+ has confirmed her promotion to the regular cast for the fifth season. While Stallone acknowledged that his name may have opened the door, he emphasized that maintaining a career in front of millions requires genuine talent, noting, “If you can open the door for them, we will see if they have the capacity to walk through it.”
