Sylvester Stallone defends daughter's role in Tulsa King as nepotism
Actor Sylvester Stallone has addressed criticisms regarding the casting of his 24-year-old daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, in the Paramount+ series “Tulsa King.” In an interview with USA Today, the 80-year-old star openly acknowledged the casting as nepotism, stating, “Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children.”
Stallone argued that providing advantages to children is a natural parental instinct and criticized those who view nepotism as inherently terrible. He emphasized that while he can use his influence to “open the door,” his daughter must still prove her professional capability to maintain a career in front of millions of viewers. He noted that whether a person can maintain a level of excellence once the door is open is beyond a parent's control.
Scarlet Rose Stallone plays the character Spencer, a role that has expanded in the fourth season of the crime drama. The series follows Stallone’s character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a mob boss navigating life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Season 4 of the series premiered on October 16.
