The upcoming biographical film "I Play Rocky" (also released as "Yo soy Rocky") chronicles Sylvester Stallone’s early struggle to write and star in the 1976 boxing classic "Rocky". Directed by Oscar‑winning Peter Farrelly and written by Peter Gamble, the movie features Anthony Ippolito as a young Stallone, with supporting roles for Matt Dillon, AnnaSophia Robb, Stephan James, Toby Kebbell, Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass and P.J. Byrne.

The first trailer has been released, prompting Stallone to post on Instagram: "Toda historia tiene un comienzo y me entusiasma ver cómo esta cobra vida… ¡Sigan golpeando!" He praised the cast and crew for bringing the story to life.

"I Play Rocky" will open its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before entering cinemas in Germany on 5 November 2026 (distributed by Leonine Studios) and in the United States on 13 November 2026, with additional releases slated for later in November in other markets.
