Singer Sylvie Vartan is celebrating her 82nd birthday, receiving public tributes from her daughter, Darina Vartan Scotti. Darina shared several nostalgic images and messages on social media, calling her mother 'the most iconic of mothers.'

Darina, who was adopted from Bulgaria at seven months old by Sylvie Vartan and American producer Tony Scotti, also recently celebrated the 60th birthday of her adoptive brother, David Hallyday. Despite a 31-year age difference, Darina has described Hallyday as a talented figure in her life, akin to a second father.

Darina, who grew up in the United States, has previously spoken about the challenges of growing up as the child of famous parents, including experiencing harassment at school. She remains close to her extended family, including her nieces Ilona and Emma Smet.
