Sylvinho linked to Bulgarian national team coaching role
The Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) is considering former Albania national team coach Sylvinho as a candidate to lead the Bulgarian national team following the departure of Aleksandar Dimitrov.
Reports from Match Telegraph suggest that Bulgarian football officials are prepared to offer Sylvinho a record-breaking annual salary of 1 million euros, a package that would also include his technical staff. BFS President Georgi Ivanov is expected to discuss the potential appointment with the Brazilian coach in Milan, pending review by the Executive Committee. The goal is for Sylvinho to take charge of the team by January 1.
However, media reports regarding the negotiations are conflicting. While some outlets highlight a concrete offer, Gazeta 24 Chasa claims that his appointment is not currently on the agenda and that while Ivanov may have proposed his name, he is not the definitive candidate. Financial constraints remain a significant factor, as the total cost for Sylvinho and his staff could reach approximately 1.5 million euros per year.
