ÖSYM YKS 2026 additional placement dates pending

The official schedule for the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) additional placement process has not yet been announced by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Following the completion of initial university registrations between August 24 and 28, 2026, universities have begun reporting unfilled quotas to ÖSYM.

It is anticipated that the additional placement guide, which will include specific program requirements and available quotas, will be published during the third or fourth week of September 2026. Applications are expected to be conducted entirely online through the ÖSYM Candidate Transactions System (ais.osym.gov.tr).

Eligibility for additional placement is limited to candidates who were not placed in any higher education program during the initial placement phase. Candidates who earned the right to enroll in a program during the first round, regardless of whether they completed their registration, are ineligible to participate in the additional placement process.
