Symbiosis award announces first finalists in Assisi
The first edition of the Symbiosis award has announced its finalists during the World Tourism Event in Assisi. The recognition aims to highlight the symbiotic relationship between humans and the environment to ensure the future of territories and the planet.
The finalists include climatologist Luca Mercalli, researcher and meteorologist Serena Giacomin, and the editorial team of the radio program Decanter, which covers Italian food and agriculture.
The award was established by the Associazione nazionale Città del tartufo (Anct), the Associazione Cerca e cavatura del tartufo in Italia (CerCa), and the Federazione nazionale delle Associazioni dei tartufai italiani (Fnati). Presented by Anct President Michele Boscagli and CerCa Secretary Ermanno Rosi, the award seeks to bridge scientific knowledge and civic consciousness. The inaugural theme, ‘Il Cantico del bosco’, draws inspiration from the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis.
