Symphonic salsa performances announced in Colombia

Major salsa artists are set to perform symphonic fusion shows in Colombia alongside the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia.

Grupo Niche will present ‘Niche Sinfónico’ in Bogotá on April 16 and for the first time in Medellín at the Daviarena on April 24, 2027. The project, which won the 2023 Latin Grammy for Best Salsa Album, honors the musical legacy of founder Jairo Varela under the musical direction of José Aguirre and Juan José Aguirre.

Additionally, singer Yuri Buenaventura will perform ‘Yuri Buenaventura Sinfónico’ at the Teatro Colsubsidio in Bogotá on October 23 and 24. His performance will blend salsa with orchestral arrangements, incorporating musical influences from the Colombian Pacific, the Caribbean, and Afro-Latin traditions.
