Symphony orchestras hold community concerts in Argentina
In Entre Ríos, Argentina, the Provincial Symphony Orchestra performed a free concert at the Escuela Normal de Paraná to celebrate the institution's 155th anniversary. Directed by Luis Gorelik, the program featured Brazilian symphonic works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, including the Prelude to Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4 and the Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra, the latter featuring soloist Eduardo Isaac.
In Neuquén, Argentina, the BPN Foundation is marking its 39th anniversary with the ‘Música para Vos’ cycle. In collaboration with the Neuquén Symphony Orchestra, directed by Andrés Tolcachir, the foundation is hosting a week of musical performances across various community locations, including schools, the Rakizuam Provincial Recreational Center, nursing homes, and hospitals, to bring classical music to diverse audiences.
