Synnex Metrodata partners with Fastly for edge cloud and security in Indonesia

PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI) has entered into a partnership with Fastly, a global edge-cloud platform provider, to enhance digital application performance and cybersecurity in Indonesia. The collaboration aims to provide Indonesian organizations across sectors such as banking, retail, telecommunications, and digital-native businesses with access to programmable edge cloud technology.

The partnership focuses on delivering high-performance content delivery, API and application security, edge computing, and observability. By utilizing Fastly’s edge architecture, businesses can process content and security decisions closer to the end-user, reducing latency and increasing service reliability. SMI will support customers throughout the entire technology lifecycle, including pre-sales, implementation, post-sales support, and partner capability development.

SMI Director Lie Heng noted that the partnership is timely as Indonesian organizations increasingly prioritize investments in data and cybersecurity. This move comes as Indonesia’s digital transformation market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 19.11 percent between 2026 and 2031.
