Synodality day and open morning set for Sint-Janscentrum, ’s‑Hertogenbosch

On 16 October 2026 the Landelijke Werkgroep Synodaliteit, under the Luisterend op weg initiative, will host an inspiration day on synodality at the Sint‑Janscentrum in ’s‑Hertogenbosch. The event will begin at 13:30 with a welcome, followed by a panel titled “Synodaliteit = doen” featuring Carlien Geelkerken, mgr Hoogenboom, Richard Steenvoorde, Ceciel Bruin‑Mosch and Remco Horik, and a presentation by Inge Roosen on the benefits of a synodal process. Participants will receive a practical “toolbox” for conducting synodal conversations.

A separate open‑morning session is scheduled for Saturday 29 August (2026) from 10:00 to 12:00 at the same centre. Visitors can learn about diocesan courses, priestly and deacon formation programmes, and other educational offerings, and can sign up for further training.

Both events aim to foster dialogue, education and community involvement within the Dutch Catholic Church.
