Synthetic marijuana found in Czech vending machines
Chemical analysis by the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague has confirmed that synthetic marijuana sold through 'Still Chill' vending machines and their online shop in Olomouc contains MDMB-PINACA. This synthetic cannabinoid is described as being between ten to one hundred times more potent than natural THC, with harmful effects comparable to heroin, cocaine, or fentanyl.
MDMB-PINACA has been on the list of psychoactive substances since last autumn, and its distribution constitutes a serious illegal act. The machines, which lacked age verification, were located in residential areas such as Nové Sady in Olomouc and near Prostejov. One user reported that the substance led to addiction in a teenager.
The vending machines are operated by the Olomouc-based company Damaon. Following investigative reports, police intervention led to the removal of machines from certain locations. The company's management has not responded to inquiries regarding the matter.
