Syracuse announces “Estate aretusea 2026” summer event schedule

The Municipality of Syracuse has released the “Estate aretusea 2026” event schedule for August and September. Organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, the program features various cultural, artistic, and recreational activities designed to highlight local traditions and attract visitors.

Scheduled events include itinerant popular serenades in Ortigia on August 20, the theatrical performance “I sentieri del gelsomino” from August 21 to 24, and an immersive theatrical experience titled “Skené- Vivere il dramma antico” on August 22. Other highlights include musical performances by Gian Luca Giuga in Piazza Duomo, Piazza Archimede, and Piazza Euripide, as well as theatrical shows at the Santa Lucia pier.
