Syracuse University and SUNY Albany named top party schools

Two upstate New York campuses have been named to the ‘Top Party Schools of 2027’ list by the website Niche. Syracuse University ranked 14th, with its social scene attributed to a large Greek life presence, a vibrant off-campus bar scene, and Division I Atlantic Coast Conference athletics.

SUNY Albany secured the 45th spot. The university's ranking is driven by active off-campus house parties and proximity to the downtown Albany bar district. The Niche rankings are determined using a combination of student survey data, campus culture metrics, fraternity and sorority involvement, and local nightlife infrastructure.
