Syria condemns Israeli military incursions in Quneitra and Daraa
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of escalating Israeli military incursions and aerial activity in the southern provinces of Quneitra and Daraa. Damascus reported that Israeli forces have conducted ground operations, including the use of military vehicles to enter villages such as Al-Ajraf in central Quneitra and Abdeen in the Yarmouk Basin, where house searches were reportedly carried out.
In southern Quneitra, reports indicate that Israeli forces bulldozed agricultural land and olive trees in the village of Saida al-Hanout. The intensification of military presence also includes increased flights by helicopters, reconnaissance drones, and combat aircraft over southern Syrian airspace.
The Syrian government stated that these actions violate Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that such movements undermine regional stability and hinder reconstruction efforts. Damascus has called upon the international community to intervene and ensure Israeli compliance with international law and United Nations resolutions.
