Syrian families protest in Damascus for relatives held in Israel

Families of Syrian detainees held in Israeli prisons gathered in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Damascus to demand information regarding the fate of their relatives and their immediate release.

Protesters representing various regions, including Quneitra, Daraa, and the Damascus countryside, carried photographs of their loved ones. They reported that the detainees include university students and minors, with at least six individuals identified as under the age of 18. Some families noted that their relatives were taken into custody even before the fall of the Assad regime.

Demonstrators called upon the Syrian government, the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and various human rights organizations to exert pressure on Israel. Participants criticized the perceived silence of international bodies, specifically the UN Security Council, and urged for concrete action rather than mere statements to resolve the situation.
