Syrian pound fluctuates against US dollar and foreign currencies
The Syrian pound has experienced slight fluctuations against the US dollar and other foreign currencies. In the parallel market, the US dollar was recorded at a selling rate of approximately 132.30 Syrian pounds and a buying rate of 131.90 Syrian pounds.
In contrast, the official rates set by the Central Bank of Syria remain lower, with the US dollar priced at 121.50 for purchase and 122.50 for sale. The Euro also shows a significant gap between official and market rates, trading at approximately 153.50 Syrian pounds in the market compared to the official rate of roughly 141.49 for sale.
Gold prices have remained relatively stable. The price for one gram of 21-karat gold was reported at approximately 16,325 Syrian pounds for sale, while the global price for an ounce of gold stood at 4,350 dollars.
