Syrian refugee family in Batman lives without electricity

A Syrian refugee family living in the Kısmet neighborhood of Batman, Turkey, has been without electricity for approximately two weeks. Berivan Hasan, a mother of five, reported that the family is struggling to meet basic needs due to severe financial hardship and is living in a dilapidated rental home.

Hasan stated that she has had no contact with her husband for five to six months following his disappearance related to debts. The family lacks essential appliances such as a refrigerator and washing machine. Hasan has issued an appeal to authorities and philanthropists for assistance, specifically requesting the restoration of electricity so that her four school-aged children can study without being hindered by the darkness.
