Syria's President Rejects Interference and Delays Lebanon Border Talks

Syrian President Ahmed Al‑Sharaa told a political meeting in Damascus that Syria rejects accusations of meddling in Lebanon's internal affairs and will focus on bilateral economic cooperation. He announced the postponement of talks on delineating the Syria‑Lebanon border, citing ongoing Israeli military aggression that threatens regional stability. Al‑Sharaa said the conflict hampers traditional diplomatic mechanisms and highlighted the humanitarian challenge of 1.4 million Syrian refugees living in Lebanon, urging cooperation to address their needs and to reinforce regional security without external interference.
