SyriaTex 2026 textile exhibition to target Arab markets

The SyriaTex 2026 specialized export exhibition for the clothing and textile industry is scheduled to take place in Damascus from September 23 to 26, 2026. Organized by the Damascus and Aleppo Chambers of Industry with support from the Syrian Establishment for Exhibitions and International Markets, the event is designed as a B2B platform to connect Syrian manufacturers and exporters with importers and traders from 10 Arab and regional markets.

This edition features an increased industrial presence, with participation rising from 175 companies in the previous cycle to 250 companies this year. The exhibition aims to move beyond traditional display spaces to become a functional tool for reclaiming foreign markets and generating sustainable export contracts. The product range includes men's, women's, and children's clothing, lingerie, socks, and production supplies.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry, clothing exports increased by 118 percent between January and August 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. Despite challenges such as energy costs and logistics, the textile sector remains a vital component of the Syrian economy for employment and economic activity.
