SYRIZA holds talks with former ministers for party reorganization

SYRIZA is undergoing an organizational and personnel reorganization through a series of discussions with figures who played significant roles during the 2015–2019 administration.

Discussions with former Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, leader of the ‘PRATTO’ movement, have reached an advanced stage regarding potential political cooperation. Following a telephone communication between Rena Dourou and Kotzias in July, both parties emphasized the need for continued dialogue between democratic, leftist, and progressive forces. SYRIZA official Nikos Pappas has also acknowledged these approaches as part of programmatic cooperation planning.

In addition to Kotzias, SYRIZA leadership is reportedly in preliminary contact with former Minister of Environment and Energy George Stathakis and former Minister of Justice Stavros Kontonis, though these discussions have not yet reached the same level of development as the talks with Kotzias.
