Hellenistic-era architectural fragments and inscriptions from the ancient city of Syrna have been placed under protection in the Bayır neighborhood of Marmaris, Muğla. The initiative, supported by the Marmaris Chamber of Commerce, aims to preserve these artifacts for future generations and improve the experience for tourists.

The site, located in the village square near a historic plane tree, has undergone environmental improvements, including the installation of natural rope barriers and bilingual information signs in Turkish and English.

Among the protected items is an ancient inscription that provides significant archaeological data regarding the cult of Asclepius, the god of healing. The inscription records donations made to the sanctuary and altar in drachmae, revealing the social and religious contributions of various community members. Other preserved artifacts include stepped pyramidal bases unique to the Bozburun Peninsula, a snake-relief altar associated with the Asclepius cult, bossed blocks, and various pedestal fragments.
