SYSTRAPLAN enhances stacker cranes with SEW-EURODRIVE automation

SYSTRAPLAN is advancing its stacker crane technology by integrating automation solutions from SEW-EURODRIVE. By utilizing the MOVI-C® automation platform and the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane software module, the company aims to better coordinate travel and lifting movements.

This synchronized control allows the crane to reach target positions more efficiently rather than executing movements independently at maximum dynamics. This coordination is designed to reduce peak loads, optimize energy consumption during travel cycles, and ensure smoother operation.

Additionally, the coordinated movement profile is intended to reduce mechanical stress on components, potentially lowering wear and tear and increasing the long-term reliability of automated warehouse systems. SYSTRAPLAN utilizes its own standardized software building blocks to provide a consistent technical basis for project planning, commissioning, and service.
