Szarvas hosts tourism and animal welfare events

The town of Szarvas, Hungary, hosted various community programs to celebrate World Tourism Day and World Animal Day.

To mark World Tourism Day, Szarvasi Turisztikai Kft. organized a multi-perspective walking tour titled ‘Szarvas, differently’. The program offered three distinct ways to view the town: via a walking route through historical sites like the Music Pavilion and the former Iron Industry site, from the tower of the New Church for a bird's-eye view, and via a free minibus tour.

In celebration of World Animal Day, the Körösvölgyi Animal Park held an educational program titled ‘Where do I live, what is my home?’. The event focused on animal habitats, diets, and behaviors. Scheduled presentations included sessions on badgers, weasels, and owls, as well as observations of the fall rutting season of fallow deer.
