Szczecin hosts literary festival and historical walking tours

Szczecin is hosting several cultural events throughout October, including the eighth edition of the OKOlice Literatury festival. Organized by the Municipal Public Library in Szczecin, the festival focuses on non-fiction literature with a theme centered on travel and tourism. The event features various meetings, workshops, performances, and walks, with guest speakers including Mirosław Wlekły, Max Cegielski, and Ewa Winnicka.

Additionally, a historical walking tour titled “(Nie)Znanych Patronów Szczecina” will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Led by historian and guide Michał Rembas, the walk will explore the history behind street names and urban landmarks in the Śródmieście Północ, Centrum, and Turzyn districts. Both the literary festival and the historical walking tours are free to the public.
