Szczecin hosts major tennis tournament and record-breaking half marathon

Szczecin is preparing for two major sporting events. The 33rd edition of the Invest in Szczecin Open tennis tournament is scheduled to take place from September 13 to September 20, 2026. This anniversary edition marks three decades of the tournament's presence in the ATP international calendar. The event features a prize pool exceeding $200,000 and is expected to host a delegation from the ATP.

Additionally, the 47th PKO Szczecin Half Marathon will be held on August 30 at Jasne Błonia. The event has reached a record participation level, with 6,638 runners registered, including participants from Germany and the United Kingdom. The race route has been updated to a single loop passing through the city center, Aleja Wojska Polskiego, and Las Arkoński to accommodate the increased number of runners.
