Szczecin tops Polish rankings for logistics and quality of life

Szczecin has emerged as a top performer in two distinct Polish urban rankings, highlighting its growing importance in both economic logistics and residential quality of life.

In the ‘Beyond the Hubs’ report, prepared by investor Accolade in collaboration with REDD and Michael Page, Szczecin was ranked as the leading medium-sized city for logistics, warehousing, and industry. Scoring 7.77 points, it outperformed Rzeszów and Białystok. The report attributes Szczecin’s success to its strategic location near the German border, access to maritime ports, and developed transport infrastructure.

Additionally, Business Insider Polska named Szczecin the best city to live in among Poland’s provincial capitals for 2026. The ranking evaluated 16 cities based on six indicators: unemployment, salaries, housing prices relative to earnings, access to doctors, crime rates, and air quality. Szczecin rose eight positions from the previous year, driven largely by high marks in air quality and housing, surpassing Lublin and Łódź.
