Szczecin: WWII bomb discovery forces A6 motorway closures

A 250-kilogram aerial bomb from World War II was discovered in a forest near the Kijewo junction and Szosa Stargardzka in Szczecin.

Sapper operations to remove the unexploded ordnance are scheduled for Monday, September 21, starting around 10:00 AM. The operation will necessitate temporary road closures, including sections of the A6 motorway and national road DK10 (Szosa Stargardzka).

Authorities expect traffic disruptions to last approximately 30 minutes. Diversions have been established for drivers traveling from Stargard and near the Gdańska Street and Podolskich Cavalrymen Roundabout areas. Specific detours are in place for the A6 motorway between the Dąbie and Podjuchy junctions to manage the flow of traffic during the removal process.
