Hungary reports multiple traffic accidents and injuries

Multiple traffic accidents have been reported across various locations in Hungary. A significant collision involving two passenger cars occurred on road 5312 between Miske and Hajós, resulting in five injuries. Emergency responders, including firefighters from Kalocsa and Paksi, used cutting equipment to extricate a passenger from one of the vehicles.

In Budapest, a three-car collision at the intersection of Kvassay Jenő and Soroksári roads disrupted both road and public transport. Firefighters were deployed to secure the vehicles near a HÉV stop.

Authorities in Bács-Kiskun County noted that while several fatal accidents have recently occurred on the M5 motorway near Kecskemét, overall accident and injury statistics for the region have decreased compared to the same period last year. Police officials identified speeding, failure to yield right-of-way, and improper following distances as the primary causes of recent incidents.
