Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia dismisses head coach Zsolt Laczkó

Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia has dismissed head coach Zsolt Laczkó with immediate effect following a 1-1 draw against Mezőkövesd in the NB II league. Laczkó, a former 22-time national team player, held the position for approximately eight months, during which the team recorded 4 wins, 7 draws, and 10 losses, leaving the club in 14th place.

Laczkó expressed that he leaves with a clear conscience, noting that the squad has become more structured and tactically prepared. His partner, actress Zita Görög, criticized the media's handling of the dismissal, calling the sensationalist coverage of the professional matter “unethical” and “disrespectful.”

Reports indicate that Balázs Tóth, formerly of Csákvár, is expected to succeed Laczkó as the new head coach of the Szeged-based club.
