Szepietowo hosts 70th jubilee stallion auction

The 70th jubilee auction of coldblood and Sokół stallions took place in Szepietowo, marking a significant milestone for the local breeding community. The event serves as both a commercial marketplace and a vital gathering for breeders to share experience and professional knowledge.

Local breeders noted that the industry has undergone significant changes over the decades. While horses were once essential working animals in almost every farm, they are now maintained by fewer households. Additionally, the auction dynamics have shifted; whereas older auctions featured a larger volume of stallions with assigned breeders, modern auctions focus on finding specific buyers for prepared animals.
