Sziget Festival launches 'Sziget City' discounts in Budapest

The organizers of Sziget Festival 2026 have introduced "Sziget City," a programme that links the summer music festival with Budapest’s cultural venues. Between 7 and 16 August, festival wristband holders can present their bands at participating locations to receive special discounts, encouraging attendees to explore the city beyond the Óbuda Island site.

More than a dozen venues have joined the initiative, including well‑known spots such as Szimpla, Dugattyús, Arzenál, Turbina, Heavy, Atno, Palazzo Permanens, Pontoon, Szatyor and the contemporary arts centre Trafó. An interactive map in the official Sziget mobile app lists the partners, their programmes and the offers available. Ábel Zsendovits, head of Szimpla, said, "Sziget and Budapest are inseparable," underscoring the aim of building a year‑round relationship between the festival community and the city’s nightlife and arts scene.
