Szilvia Krizsó rules out return to Hungarian public television

Former Hungarian public television presenter Szilvia Krizsó has stated she has no intention of returning to the screen, despite the ongoing transformations within Magyar Televízió. Krizsó, known for hosting prominent political programs such as ‘Az Este’ and ‘A Szólás Szabadsága’, expressed that she values her current personal freedom and lifestyle too much to return to the rigors of daily television production and hierarchical management.

Reflecting on the state of public media, Krizsó noted that the recent changes and the silencing of certain screens brought her deep sadness rather than satisfaction. She emphasized that holding power accountable is a social interest and remarked that the previous era's impact on public media had negative consequences for society. While she expressed hope for the future, stating that ‘something new must be built on the ruins’, she remains focused on her current work in communication, leadership training, and podcasting.
