Szklenó mining history and Filmtett filmmaking workshops
Historical and cultural developments are highlighted in recent reports. In 1786, the world's first international technical-scientific conference for mining and metallurgy was held in Szklenó. The event focused on presenting a new precious metal extraction method developed by Ignác Born, which utilized mercury to extract gold and silver from ores more economically than previous methods.
In the realm of contemporary cinema, the Filmtett Association's workshop provides professional training for aspiring filmmakers. The 2025 workshop, held in Parajd, resulted in the production of three short films: ‘Legyen tánc’ by Sára Budrala, ‘Állóvíz’ by Petra Pantyi, and ‘Fészek’ by Gergely Lukács. These works were showcased during the 15th Cluj Hungarian Film Days at the Tranzit House.
