Szlachetna Paczka prepares for 26th edition in Poland
Preparations are underway for the 26th edition of Szlachetna Paczka, a charitable initiative in Poland. In Lubin, the volunteer team has grown to over 20 members, surpassing last year's numbers. The current focus is on identifying families in need through cooperation with local social welfare centers, foundations, and village leaders, as well as through reports from private citizens such as neighbors or local shop owners.
In the Zielona Góra region, organizers are seeking approximately 60 volunteers. Monika Jezierska from the Wiosna Association noted that remote volunteer roles, such as recruitment and logistics, are available for those unable to provide physical assistance. The program's database of qualifying families will open on November 14, allowing donors to select families to support. The initiative will culminate in the ‘Weekend Cudów’ (Weekend of Miracles) on December 12 and 13.
