Színikritikusok Díj nominees announced for 47th awards ceremony

The Guild of Theatre Critics has announced the nominees for the 47th Színikritikusok Díj (Theatre Critics' Award), recognizing outstanding performances from the 2025/2026 season. The awards ceremony is scheduled for September 20 at Eötvös 10 in Budapest.

There are three nominees in each of the 14 categories. The Katona József Theatre has received the highest number of nominations. The field includes significant representation from regional and cross-border theaters, such as the Harag György Company from Satu Mare, the Figura Studio Theatre, and the Szigligeti Theatre.

Several winners have already been announced: Tamás Ascher will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Ádám Nádasdy has been honored with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, the first in the history of the prize. The Baltazár Theatre won the Future Award, and the production ‘Ha már lúd…’ by Füge Produkció and DanteCasino won the category for children and youth theatre. Special recognition will be given to the Roma Hősök International Theatre Festival and Független Színház Magyarország.
