Hungarian sports results: Kaposvár and Szeged lead basketball action

Various Hungarian sports competitions saw significant results across basketball, water polo, handball, and football.

In basketball, Kometa-KVGY Kaposvári KK secured a narrow 99-98 victory over Délút-SZTE-Szedeák. Meanwhile, NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbányász prepares to host last season's bronze medalist, Kaposvár, following their opening win against OSE Lions.

In water polo, Semmelweis OSC defeated One Eger 15-13 after a penalty shootout following a 10-10 draw. In handball, OTP Bank-PICK Szeged achieved a 34-30 win against Szigetszentmiklósi KSK, a match noted for a tribute to the club's long-serving doctor, Dr. István Szabó.

Football results included a 20-11 victory for SzolnokI Dózsa over Kaposvári VK in water polo, and a 2-2 draw between Kaposvári Rákóczi FC and Ferencvárosi TC II in the NB III football league. In the NB III North-Western group, FC Sopron and VSC Veszprém played to a 1-1 draw.
