Szymon Hołownia's rumored government role sparks tension in Poland

Political rumors regarding Szymon Hołownia's potential return to a high-ranking government role have sparked tension within the Polska 2050 party and the ruling coalition in Poland.

Reports suggest that Hołownia, currently Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, may take over the Polska 2050 parliamentary club and assume the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Such a move would reportedly necessitate the removal of current Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz from the government.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz has dismissed these reports as a "trading of positions" aimed at sidelining her due to her policy stances on taxes and housing regulations, calling the speculation "embarrassing." In response, Sławomir Ćwik of the Centrum Union criticized her approach, alleging that her constant criticism of the coalition has caused divisions within the parliamentary club.
