T-2021 road closure between La Ràpita and Poble Nou del Delta

The T-2021 road, which connects La Ràpita and Poble Nou del Delta, will undergo a total traffic closure starting October 5. The closure is expected to last until March 19, 2027.

Carried out by the Diputació de Tarragona, the works involve the demolition and reconstruction of existing drainage systems to accommodate the new width of the road. This process requires the full occupation of the roadway to improve safety and connectivity.

During the closure, an alternative route will be provided via the existing road network (TV-3405, TV-3406, and TV-3408) and the Camí del Riu Vell. The project schedule was designed to respect local agricultural cycles, specifically rice cultivation, as well as tourism, fishing, and aquaculture activities. The Diputació is also coordinating with the Comunitat General de Regants del Canal de la Dreta de l’Ebre to manage water flows during the construction phase.
