T-Cure and Taewoong Medical partner on gastrointestinal medical devices

Medical device startup T-Cure and Taewoong Medical have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop and commercialize balloon catheters and other gastrointestinal treatment devices. The partnership aims to combine T-Cure’s precision catheter design and manufacturing technology with Taewoong Medical’s mass production capabilities and established global distribution network.

The collaboration will initially focus on balloon catheters, with plans to expand into devices for treating various gastrointestinal diseases, including esophageal conditions. The companies will explore various cooperation models, such as joint development and contract manufacturing, to accelerate the productization cycle and facilitate international market entry.

T-Cure has previously received Breakthrough Device Designation from the U.S. FDA for its endoscopic laser treatment system, ‘EndoCure’, and has achieved a high technical rating from the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
