Út Lan 2 horror film earns 2 billion VND in pre-sales

The horror film ‘Út Lan 2’, directed by Trần Trọng Dần, has achieved over two billion VND in pre-sale ticket revenue ahead of its wide release on September 25. The film, which explores folk legends and spiritual beliefs in a riverside setting, held its premiere in Hanoi on September 18.

During production in the U Minh Thượng mangrove forests, lead actor Phương Nam was hospitalized after being bitten by a snake. The actor, who plays a snake catcher despite having a personal fear of snakes, reported that the incident occurred while he was handling a snake during filming. He received immediate medical assistance and, following professional guidance, underwent follow-up checks to ensure no serious infection occurred.

The sequel continues the franchise's themes of mystery and folklore, involving elements such as water burials and snake blood rituals. The film's musical connection is bolstered by the release of the MV ‘Bến Âm Dương’ performed by Bùi Lan Hương.
