T-Mobile Polska and UNICEF launch sharenting awareness campaign
T-Mobile Polska, the Polish National Police Headquarters, and UNICEF Poland have launched a joint educational campaign titled ‘Status: Udostępnione’ (Status: Shared) to address the issue of sharenting.
A 2026 report by T-Mobile Polska reveals that half of parents in Poland have published photos, videos, or information about their children online within the last year. Most parents do so with positive intentions, viewing the internet as a digital family album; 50% aim to preserve memories and 47% wish to share important moments with loved ones. Only 9% publish content to increase their social media reach.
However, the report highlights a disconnect between parental actions and children's feelings. One in five young people reports feeling embarrassed by the content their parents post about them, a problem that parents recognize only half as often. The campaign includes a social advertisement and educational materials designed to raise awareness about the potential long-term consequences of losing control over a child's digital image.
